Come 2nd June 2020, Singapore will move into Phase 1 easing of the circuit-breaker measures. While overall daily cases have significantly improved over the circuit-breaker measures, the risk of renewal in community transmission remains high.

Hence, the multi-ministry task force has laid out 4 areas of Safe Re-Opening. You can read more about it here @Safe Re-opening Phase 1.

If you intend to drive, it is important to minimize your chances of running into car trouble by ensuring that your car is still in running condition this week. Check out our checklist here.

So while not all activities are allowed, here are 4 things you can do.

1) Pamper And Caring For Your Vehicle

Safe Re-opening Phrase 1 - 4 Things To Do - car servicing

It is very important to keep your vehicle in always a tip-top condition. Vehicle owners will be pleased to know that they are able to go for vehicle servicing that includes mechanical and electrical repairs, bodywork repair, spraying and painting, ordinary servicing as well as installation of parts and accessories as opposed to only essential repairs during the Circuit Breaker.

However, car-washing and related services are not included in this list of services that are permitted to operate.

Do remember to make an early booking slot as many owners might be doing the same. You can use our mobile apps (coming soon) to check for available slots in the future. Bringing more convenience to you.

2) Fresh Air And Keeping Fit

Going for a walk or jogging is still permitted. Our parks and greenery spaces will remain open. You are advised to check how crowded it is before heading down. NParks has created a website to check.

Sports facilities are closed though, although that will be allowed during Phrase 2 measures.

More information at the end of this article.

3) Visiting Family And Friends

Safe Re-opening Phrase 1 - 4 Things To Do - Spend time with family
Each household will be allowed to visit their parents or grandparents staying elsewhere, to allow families to spend time and provide support to one another. However, every household should limit such visits to only one per day, and to not more than two persons from the visiting household.

Dropping off children at parents’ and grandparents’ homes for childcare will also be allowed, subject to the same limit of two visitors from the same visiting household per day.

Do note that visiting beyond to extended family and friends remains not allowed. Sorry, boyfriend/girlfriend, you will still have to use technology to keep in touch if not staying in the same household. Try an online date! Share what are your experiences with us at the comments below!

4) Hairdressing Services

While haircut and hair wash is allowed since 12th May, services such as hair treatment and hair dyeing are not.

Rejoice! We can finally have our favourite colour dyed to go along with our new haircut. Do note that wearing a mask is still a must when leaving your home and having that hair cut.
